Notes About The Poem

Southern Exposure

the world was waiting
at the wide open window
in came the fragrance

sunshine called to me
from the depths of afternoon
in the stylish blooms

red robin sang sweet
frogs croaked midst water lilies
the glad summer crowd

Creative word that you have penned. I could see the scene through some imagination. Sara

WoW! Evelyn, Your strings of haikus painted such a gorgeous scene with words. I found it to be so invited too. Well done. Have a good evening:-) Alexis

The best words to describe about the South since I heard the late Phil Harris sing "What I Like About the South".
