South Shore Sands
What joy I feel walking along this beach, listening to tide lip-lap, seeing sand sparkling clean, inhaling ozone air.
What joy I feel tasting the salt sea spray, watching crabs in rockpools, sensing my feet sinking, hearing the gathering gulls.
What joy I feel admiring emerald weed, hearing pebble knockle, collecting shards of shells. Wondering what lived within.
What joy I feel being brushed by balmy breeze, rejoicing the natural world
praying it will not change.
Seeing no signs of mankind, what now joy I feel.
