Soundtrack

Have you ever heard a song that you feel with all your might
The melody, the tune, the chords hit you just right
Have you ever heard lyrics so powerful you cry
Giving the strength needed to give it one more try
At the top of your lungs poured your heart out
Danced around the room a little twist and shout
Has it brought back a memory you thought was long gone
Helped you ease your pain, helped you move on
Dedicated one to a certain special lover
One that explains your bond with another
Powers both fears and dreams, it depends on the beat
Brought you to your knees, stood you back up on your feet
My life is like a soundtrack, a tune for every mood
No matter the genre, I've always been glued
Ever since I was a child, I could feel it in my soul
Mama sang and danced, Daddy rocked and rolled
Music is in my roots, what else can I say
Music is in my words, so just sit back and press play
