Sounds That Bring Me Happiness

The fan in my kitchen hums to me, in hot California...
You bet, It doth run most constantly!

The one year old AC unit, is my closest friend!
All corners of this home, are cool, till my
life ends.

The sounds of the kitty when she is so
hungry?
I call that sound, a most blessed luxury.

The notification sound, on my iPad rings,
Reminding me, that I have friends, such
blessed beings.

A poet must honor the sounds of her Keurig
coffee maker.
Be enthusiastic to be alive...you are not
at the undertaker!

The sound of a grandson's laughter is best of all.
Especially, when Grandma,
cannot bend to catch a baseball.

How about the lovely sound a dishwasher makes?
Of that unpleasant work, I need no longer partake.

I'd be much amiss to not mention. actual phone calls.
From my cousins in the Midwest, are the most loving of all!

Bless the great, soothing music that fills the air.
It is my helpmate that is an an aid to penning poetry, and to
white walls, I do not have to stare,

Good morning, Jo!thank you for saying it was well expressed. Yes! Grandson is hilarious. I took care of him since he was a baby. He is 15 now, Not all Grandmas have that blessing! That’s much time. I used to pick him up after school, and we’d go for burgers, then shopping for toys or books. He’d sit in the back of my car with my cellular iPad and make videos. Hilarious. Yes, heat lessened but will come back. Pangie xxoo

That’s truly lovely Pangie, keep on finding happiness in life’s pleasantries, especially your grandson’s laughter. At the moment I’m loving the fan in my lounge it’s so hot here in England it’s all that’s keeping me sound… Belle x

Belle, I have ceiling fans and a standing floor fan. No humidity here, but we have been in the 100's. Happiness in small things bring joy. I heard about your heat wave across the pond. Yikes! How kind of you to comment, Belle! GRANDSON's laughter =awesome.)) Be cool, my friend.PANGIE XXOO
