Sound Travels Faster In Darkness

Sound travels faster in Darkness At the edge of my canopy bed, I parted with my words With background music "Waiting Game", "Hot in Here", "I'm of Fire", "Cherry Wine", "Raspberry Beret" the sounds of time..."time after time" Britney here, Lana Del there, Nine Inch over, Backstreet under, lots of Jay-Z, bubbly Beyonce and more Lil Wayne The Nightingale tunes The fan turned and the ice-cream dripped Between your fingers Your eyes and mine just looked away While I talked Then darkness at once Blackout, the music died, the TV went off, the fridge halted, the fan faded, the telephone choked, the streets dimmed, everything quit, blackout, there was darkness You could see the tail of the devil Now I know Sound travels faster in darkness My dove could hear, everything, spoken, unspoken She stole my hand and stalled my heart With amazing calmness This morning I wrote a note to the county engeneer Who had messed the transformer Which burst at night And went with the light Thank you, I said Sound travels faster in darkness And paid a tip There were many, silent speakers Who lined up there, with parcels To thank the man, Electric Man Who lost his job With millions at hand Our eyes mated And we left But now we know Sound travels faster in darkness

Interesting ink you've formatted here!... And actually, it always has seemed to me that sound does travel faster in darkness. Perception is everything. ~ Junior Psychologist Wannabee
