Souls That Touch

My soul and yours
They touch
They breathe
You nestle deep inside me
And I feel comfort
A love that radiates like the sun
That has trancended over time
I pull you close
My head on your shoulder
And my heart whispers to you
Soft, tender words
You hear them
I feel it in your touch
The warmth that radiates off your skin
The way your soul touches mine
We dance
I see it in my mind
The way you would take my hand
And twirl me around
The candles dancing on their own
And then we break away
And I whisper in the night
While we depart
I love you Cassius
Though your name has changed over time
And you respond
I love you too
But my name is unknown
You wont whisper it
You say I must find it on my own
And I watch you walk away
The sound of crunching gravel in my ears
A bitter sweet goodbye
But I wont forget you
I wont forget our love
Our souls untangle
I am left with the ghost of you
But I am not empty
The way that you are
I pray that you will fill your void
Not with another, but with your own
And the moon, for a moment
Seems to shine brighter

A romantic mystery that's genuine with every look and touch. I love the mystical feel in the name exchange. The gravel is so lucid in sound and meaning. Strange as it is, One must choose to be empty, and I choose to be full of love Jay, your soul poetry says the same. " Not with another, but with your own..." J.A.B.
