Soulmates

Struggling to comprehend the depths
Of my love, so new, for you
Under a hard shell you cracked open a soft spot
Like a hole for something new to bloom
Me and you, together, now or never
Always, it must be soulmates
Tied my heart in a knot to yours
Everyday I drown more in this sweet lake
I knew for sure I'd never know love
Then you walked into my life
Instantly I knew something was changing
Until you, I had been so blind
Soulmates, we were just meant to be
I've waited all these years for you
Growing up, maturing, things had to happen
In order for our love to be able to endure
