Notes About The Poem

Soul Survivor

Soul Survivor

I am a soul survivor
of a ship that's lost at sea.
You might hear my cries at night
but still you won't see me.

Aimlessly I drift about
I don't know how it started.
Trying to find and comfort
just one more brokenhearted.

Lightening often lights my way
as you look for a friend.
I am just a memory
that's guided by the wind.

Stopping only for a moment
I linger in your pain.
Listening to the thunder
as tears mix with the rain.

A ghost is what I am today
and what I'll always be.
I am a soul survivor
of a ship that's lost at sea.
