Soul Surgery

As I saw your
caged
soul rioting for my
attention, I knew
you to be my
perfect
victim and started
envisioning how to
ravage
your beauty so it could
ensnare
and impersonate my
lifetime wishes

Fearlessly you
revelead your
nature, fiercely you
demanded
reprimand, boldly you
offered
acts of service, bravely you
amassed
chisels and knives at my
reluctant
feet for me to
begin
dissecting you

Now brace
yourself and descend in the
Underworld bathing your
vest in a river of
tears
and sorrow while I
tie your
bare chest to the cold
operating
table of awareness. As I wear no
protection gloves and you
are given no painkiller, your
hurt guides my
actions, as I can
not
look at your eyes unless your
rescue
is over

Let me therefore
rage at what
holds you prisoner, skinning
dysfunctional certainties away, spreading
deforming scars apart, clotting
poisoning doubts, cauterizing
harmful energy leaks, cutting
and stitching diseased
gut feelings, finally carving
new wings out of your
undeniable
ethics while I sew and
nourish your
soul back to
recovery

And the time will
come when you
stare
at the reflection of my
masterpiece in the mirror rejoicing
in what you have
become under
my direction in all
your bleeding splendor

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
