Soul Sucker

Here it is again ~ the light of day
Why they keep me here
I could tell you it's fear
They sit in conference all day
I'm stuck in this padded room
For my own good so they say
No, I think this is not so at all
For there are others like me
Stuck in theses corridors of walls
Sometimes I hear them talking
Unless it's just the voices in my head
No ! no ~ I see dollar signs in their eyes
Soul Sucker tattoo on their head

U hit the nail on the head...So true! It reminds me of a corporate office I used to work for.... We spent more time in meeting then get the work done. :) Ana

I can relate to the feeling of having my soul sucked from me, and not knowing who I am anymore. Very well done, Debbie! And, thank you for the nice comments on my poem "A Fairy's Fantasy", once again! It really means so much to me!

souls sucker to make you beep, dragged away from counting sheep, shut up brain no not a peep, the shadow talkers are sleeping, voices coming greeting, an imbecile retreating, bugged brain is in denial, ole solitude do smile, the walls hold shades a weeping, bugging out this bandy chile, retreating from the meeting, awhile... Of course they are out to make money. That is why we lose our Can. doctors because they can become rich over the border. Suck every penny out of you along with the insurance companies. Nicely written. love phyl

I agree with what you were trying to say doctors will do anything for money even keep you a prisoner.

yeah, I saw it was a challenge but still it could be based on something you know about. Hey, did you like Magic Mike? It was just an ok movie for me. I see so many ones better than that up at the SLC Broadway theater. they show Sundance Film Festival type movies, which I just can't get enough of

Hi Debbie, Don't let them get in your head :) Yes a good write and sometimes you have to wonder if it's the dollars they really interested in and if they're not making matters worse. I've been away and out the soup myself, trying too catch up now. Take care, Richard
