Soul Searching

This life hasn't turned out the way I'd like it to be
You've got to find a balance and you've got to set me free
I've got to realize you will be watching me fall
I'll scream to you and you'll help me carry on
I'm the one who never gets away
I need a shoulder to cry on someone to rely on
are you strong enough, you are no good to me if it is no other way
I'll turn around and look the other way
if on the ground is where I seem to stay
I've fallen on my knees I'v begged you screaming please
why wont this go
the past is just another goodbye another high
I keep them in my dreams, don't ask why, just look and sigh
why'd you have to go and let it all die
I lift my hands to the sky and cry
I scream real loud and try to push my resentments to the side
today is a new day
and if you walk with me
I think I'll be okay
