Soul Performance
You've always known that here
Is not for long and yet
I wanted you to be my dream, my goodnight,
to be my pain and my savor,
The poison and the antidote,
the present along with the before.
I see you all these years
Struggling with an emptiness
That overtakes your ideals,
Crying with a word that always
Stays stuck on your lips
Hitting greedily the wind with your hands.
In this chaos you, the weakest light,
Shine inside this abyss of gold,
Climbing the stares of life.
The last one will teach you how to love
And this will be your most difficult step.
This step will get you to the top,
Where you can look from above
This performance in which
We all thought we owned the leading role.
