Soul of a Pacifist, Life of a Warrior

Don’t send those violent war movies my way
For on a dusty shelf they are sure to stay

All the bloodshed and gore I do without
But with personal crises I forever do bout

By pointless horror movies I’m repulsed
And yet I’ve been known to act on impulse

If you try to mess with someone I love
I might repay you with an angry shove

Caribbean islands are sweet retreats
But my travels follow adventure’s beat

Man versus nature storylines I prefer
But to view man versus man? I defer

In many ways I am a warrior
But my peaceful side puts up barriers

Congratulations on your Honorable Mention, Carolyn in Paula's contest...it is an exceptional Couplet! Actions movies are too bloody, and I don't understand why people go to the theater to see them or even buy dvds! . Yes, if warriors as Abraham was , professing his faith in God, the world would be a better place. Have the most blessed day, and please let me know how the Gulf oil spill clean-up and your articles are coming along. Love and hugs, Andrew.

Good one, Carolyn. I kind of assumed everyone would do biographical writes, but I was surprised to see many winners writing of others, not themselves! LUv, Andrea
