Soul Members
In your patience, possess ye your soul
so reads the word
to possess your soul requires a breaking down
and identifying the different members
soul members;
affection
memory
conciousness
imagination
and will power
My affections are mine, they belong to me I can do with them as I please
setting your affections on things above, cause you to fulfill, " where my
heart is there my treasure will be also."
Memory is a voluntary action, we can focus on pleasant things that will nurture
our spirit, or we can dwell on negative things - it is our choice.
conciousness, or awareness, again we should exercise our free will to live in
the moment, not captivated by other things.
Imagination, we can imagine all sorts of things, but ultimately we decide
the pictures or images that play in our mind.
And finally, our will is uniquely ours, it separates us from all the other creatures
not being controlled by instinct, we can "set our face like a flint" climb over obstacles
and accomplish whatever we set out to do.
We are responsible for our own actions and for that we will be judged.
