Soul Mates

And the cemetery was quiet,
just like any other day. He carried
the flowers which were her favorite;
lavender. Graves surrounded him
like a maze, as he made his was
to his lover's grave.

Soon, he arrived on the grave,
with an angel's statue on top.
"You will always live in my heart,"
he whispered, in the midst of tears,
as he placed the flowers on a porcelain
vase on the grave.

It was getting dark;
he didn't mind. He lay on the left side of her grave,
and slept. Deep asleep, a scent of oriental spices
and sandalwood surrounded him. The scent smelt
like his wife....
