Soul Food

Swallowing starlight, thirsting on ether that roars through the cosmos as fine, icy fire. Nibbling moon-dust, gobbling comets that streak through the heavens from heaven knows where. Digesting mysteries older than time, inhaling the dew, grateful for tastes that are forever ancient and new.

The creative imagery works well to convey your thoughts. I liked the active verbs you used. I enjoyed your poem. Thank you for sharing it and for your kind words regarding my haiku. Karen

There is so much wonder and beauty to discover all around us and sometimes where we least expect to find it. Though time and progress are constantly in motion, human emotion and curiosity are pretty consistant. Great write and thought provoking too! Thank you for your comment. I'm really enjoying writing again and I am trying to write on happier subjects than some of my stuff reflects. Love Robin
