Soul Eaters

Turmoil
God awful gut wrenching
nightmare riding
turmoil.

Throat clenching
acid rising murder of crows,
False importance on the trivial grows.

A gag reflex of learned fear
turmoil roils hurricane high
calms counterweight on the psychic scale.

Taste the bitter bile of discontent.
Far fetching fowl…
fouling the content
eating the brash bits of joy
Turmoil.

False importance on the trivial grows ... a memorable line, an immortal poem to be ... this is indeed inspiration cresting its pinnacle.

Turmoil and contention are both soul eaters! And the taste described is a perfect analogy of what the soul feels like in the process of it all. Excellent write. (Sorry, Deb, but I can't find anything wrong with this to critique. It's too darn good!) Thanks for this write. Lovingly, Dane Ann

I'm at a loss for words on this one...Truth be told I didn't get the impression those below me had any more insight to add either. Can't say I blame them, you seem to be coming from a very personal place, that much makes sense to me. Nevertheless, this is too personal for me to interfere with. I'll sit this one out and hope the same Love I'm searching for will ultimately help us both in the end...

indeed.....nice! Deb! ...and thanks for your comments! yes! Robins are actually staying here this Winter! I don't know how they do it! it's gotten down to 22 below here! but they are here, and they stay in the bushes...so they are probably deep-nested like a beaver in the bushes! and their song is a bit changed in the Winter! I think they are not so happy? jimbo
