Soul and Spirit
I did not choose on my on
The soul chose
And my spirit was obsessed
I was content with the matters of my heart before
But with one glance and a smile
I found an eastern girl who stole my heart right away
I wish to live her life and her mine
I did not wait
I ran to pursue her
All these women in the world, still stubborn on one
Tell me my dear is it only one man who ruined a chance for all of us?
Let me teach you how to love
Break my heart to mend yours
For you have beauty that does not try yet looks best in a chitenge
Cannot be hidden by a mask
With unbraided hair she makes a blind man see
The lame run to be consumed by the embers of her mother's brazier
Hoping to spark a flame of love with the miss
A stone on her father's roof declares my intentions
As she comes out she looks like a 5 foot promise
The rare reflection of God's heart
The only star that deserves to outshine the moon
She is sugar and I salt
A bittersweet taste that this love has experienced years of drinking our ORS
Their is a fragrance about her
The sound of her name recalls it
She is the one I wish to wake up next to
Until we're seventy and cannot sweep her off her feet
I love to interact with her mind
In love with the experience of this old school love.
I promise to always make you happy
Write a poem for you
As if you invested for me to do so.
I wish to drink your gin and whiskey for eternity
Hope not to stumble in the clutch of another woman's heart
