SOS Sincerely Me

It’s infinitely brighter, 
I would not turn back the clock;
If compliments are like money? 
I’ve left them all inside a jar;

I hope someday I can say these words;
Right now? I can’t quite put them together; 

Just like the day we met,
I’m completely terrified;
To unleash them all now,
covered in everything I can’t forget; 

I’ve lowered my eyes a thousand times,
I’ve banked one thousand moments;
Everything is infinitely brighter, 
even though you make me nervous; 

I wish I could bottle that ‘look’,
I’ve seen it a couple of times;  
A tortured thunderstorm, 
drink the raw honesty in your eyes; 

I hope someday I can say these words;
Right now? I can’t quite put them together;

So I’ll leave them on the beach,
let my thoughts dance on the water;
If compliments are like money? 
I’ve left them all inside a jar.
