Sorry My Mind Was Miles Away Slam

Sorry my mind was miles away

You've caught me in my
rocking chair

Steadily rocking back and forth

Quietly contemplating which way
is backward or true north

Expression blanker than my mind
or winter botox pale ashen faced

Here in body yet trapped inside
my thought forgot

Unable to face reality searching
solace , sanctuary

A billion miles and galaxies from
whence i thought i wished to be

Floating above a sea of purest
dead black salt

A relic of evolution
A social dinosaur

Passing time until extinction
comes a calling

Blowing me out the water

For a future generation of
archeologists to discover

Everything about me from my
diet to the grooming of my hair

But all my thoughts and my
desires and what made me tick

Those are mine for eternity
and evermore

No one can take them away from me

They are me
They are i

As in life

And so to death

1 life

Indeed Christopher your thoughts are yours forever, apparently and even the scientists agree, information cannot be destroyed, even within a black hole, now there’s one to ponder, cheers David
