Sorry For Doing Nothing
New Poem
I'm sorry for doing nothing.
By Anthony Grider

I heard the screams and cries.,
But I sat there doing nothing.,
Let me morals say it's goodbyes.,
The trouble it might bring not wanting.
If it didn't effect me I didn't care.,
The shame of letting it happen, I would wear.
O' I'm sorry for doing nothing.,
The shame of letting it happen, I would wear.,
O' the trouble it might bring not wanting.,
It wasn't effecting me I didn't care.
Not standing for what is right not trying.,
O' I'm sorry, O' I'm sorry for doing nothing.
Children crying locked in a cage.,
People being treated worse by the day.,
Where's our anger, where's our rage?,
Where's their family they won't say.
How can this happen, do you care?,
O' The shame this country will wear.
O' I'm sorry for doing nothing.,
For letting this happen the shame I will wear.,
The trouble it might bring not wanting.,
The thought of, if it's not me why should I care.
O' Not standing, not stopping, not trying.,
O' I'm sorry, so sorry for doing nothing.
Wars we'll always fight.,
Profits make the rich, richer by the day.,
As our young continues to die.,
As long as it's out of our sight.,
Over and over the poor has to pay.,
We do nothing but to listen to each lie.
As the country falls apart, do you care?,
O' So much shame this country will wear.
O' I'm sorry for doing nothing.,
How much shame will we all wear?,
Real changes is something we should be wanting.,
How can we sit back and not care?
O' I'm sorry, so sorry for doing nothing.,
We let it happen without trying.,
Why do we sit back and do nothing?!
