Sorry

It's like a ten-ton brick is on my chest Like someone dropped it from the top of a mountain It feels like my insides are being sucked out with a straw Draining me of everything I have The words are icy but they cut like a searing blade to my skin I have tears flowing from my face but you still keep digging It's like what you're searching for you've still not found I fumble to try to soothe your fury but all I do is ramble Turning a small crack in the ground to a sinkhole If sorry doesn't work then what will? I don't know how to fight once you've taken residence in my soul I'm like a match that got too close to your flames. Intrigued by your light and beauty, but once you had me I began to burn Now that you've scorched me, I'll never be the same.
