'sorrow: Like a Lover'

oh sorrow,
you moan my name day and night
and seek out my anguish, my grief, and misery
making me melancholy and mournful . . .
and it is because of you I pick up a pen
to write woebegone words . . . that drip, drip, drip-
then, you leave me until I am called back
when you embrace me, so I may suffer again, again-
and like a lover lost, I hold you, hold you
pressed to my heart . . .

I liked the longing in the words. You made the reader feel the need and the regret. A amazing poem.

Amazing poetry for love. Love can be sweetness and sorrow in the same sentence.

You are on quite the roll today, as usual, but even more beautiful missives, which I did not know was possible.
