When the lights turn out The heart turns colder When its raining inside Nobody ever going to know The sorrow that you’re holding The chains, weight against your heart Dragging the hope away Drifting under Under the sorrows Beneath the tears You lay to rest When the lights turn out The heart turns colder When you lay to rest You fear The blackness from the madness in your mind One of these days Just one, is all it takes To hold your sorrow And Throw it out that window

Dear Paul, your emotive verse paints an intimate portrait of sorrow and depression. If only one could hold the sorrow, angst, depression and "Throw it out that window"! Wish that could be. Your imagery is deep, emotive and evocative. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
