Sophistication
I wrote this shortly after I could define the word - so I was pretty young with vocabulary, but never too young to overthink things.
Sophistication
(Which I have on occasion described as a "complicated fake")
This rock was here when I was small,
I used to sit on it, my own little throne;
but now a shrub has grown and I have to
push it back to see my make-believe world -
funny what sophistication does ...
