Soothing Song
"What a friend we have in Jesus!"
Is the song that comes to me,
Whenever I am in distress,
This calm song does set me free,
The promise that we can "carry
Everything to God in prayer"
Reminds me I should not worry,
Rather leave it to His care,
"Have we trials and temptations?"
He will take me through them all,
What a promise of salvation!
He will never let me fall!
"Can we find a friend so faithful?"
None else, I can tell you so,
And for that, I am so grateful,
He relieves me of my woe,
"What a friend we have in Jesus!"
No one else can be that friend,
All my broken shattered pieces,
He is sure to fully mend.
