Soon to be Replaced by AI

Soon to be replaced by AI
                Some poets curse
                Others yearn for
                the 'good old days'
                of wracking our brains
                       for just the right metaphor
                       or the perfect simile

So. I plead guilty to writing facsimiles
~ ‘cos NONE of the above applies to me

Gershon, this excellent poem does a great job of capturing the worry and resignation that come with AI becoming more common in creative fields. Your use of humor and honest statements makes it stand out.

Your comments are always so professional as well as encouraging. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you so much, Sotto. Peace, Gershon

A wonderfully sly, self-aware satire—the “facsimiles” punchline is spot on. Its playful formatting and mock-guilty voice make the poem especially enjoyable.

'Mock'-guilty? Heh-heh. I guess so. You sniffed me out, Alison. :) gw
