Sons of Washington

Trail of Tears and stadium noise
shouting chants again and again;
‘Hail ‘til I die!’ ‘Beat the Cowboys!’
Huge field filled with losses and wins,
a new age about to begin;

Three Super Bowls we remember;
Burgundy and gold forever;
Faded jersey you can’t outrun;
The dawning of a new era,
but always Sons of Washington.
