Sonnet To An Unrequited Love

If your lips are as soft as your heart, Then you’d sweep me off my feet. Too many gifts from which to start, Like how your scent is saccharine sweet. You’ve repaired my smile with just one gaze, And you’ve healed me with your essence. To be with you, all cities I’d raze. And I’d destroy to be in your presence. I see you as a muse and a goddess. Twofold perfection in my eye. To have a masterpiece would mean much less, If in my arms you’d lie. Though you will never be with me, I have these dreams to help me see.
