Sonnet From Your Daughter

One of the things in life I hold most dear Is to hold a picture of you against my heart To see your smile, a beauty to me you do appear It brings you near to me and we’re no longer far apart You made me laugh, taught me strength and love We shared a passion for the sea over cups of clam chowder Now you cheer me forward as you watch from above I hear your lips whisper encouragement ever louder Your Mother’s love still helps me through all strife Memories are many of us walking together hand in hand You are now gone from my side in my earth bound life But mom and daughter still travel across the land I’ll keep your wisdom with me deep inside and show no fear Until I reach heaven’s gate where we will meet for another start 7-3-2019 Most Beautiful Sonnet Contest Sponsor: William Kekaula

I'm sorry about your loss too...Mine has only been gone a couple of years...it doesn't sound like you ever miss them less just sometimes more...
