Sonnet 2: When nature warns, heed

Be they the moving air or frozen seas
That need a passport, visa, nor frontier,
Unmapped that flow all free, untamed with ease,
Like winds that fiercely sweep sans human fear.
No mountain bows to architect’s false pride,
No forest stands as guard to stolen wood,
And rivers dammed, turn to a stormy tide—
The sign, now red, ere warning amber stood.
The poets turn to birds and blooming flowers
To find the truth and track the tolling bell,
While nature warns of these dynamic powers,
It’s strange, man still hesitates in his hell.
But wisdom wafts upon a shifting wind:
How long can nature bear a world that sinned?
