Sonnet 25 'My Love Is Like the Sky, a Wind of Dreams'

My Love is like the Sky, a wind of dreams,
Like trailing Heav’n her garment covers me,
Stars line her cloak, her sword’s not what it seems,
It’s limned with lightning, she pulls it from a tree!
Her glowing hands and face show golden moons
Penumbra them about in pregnant mist,
They streak across the Night, bestowing boons,
Her lips, always, and never, to be kissed.
Beneath her softshod feet, angels press up,
And keep her from the burden of the earth,
From Paraclete Dove, comes the proffered cup,
Engilded, and enjeweled with gems of mirth
As bright as sun that shines on fields of snow,
From thence, drinks, smiles, and makes the darkness go.

wow, this has a really classic elegant feel to it. What a wonderful sonnet. So you like Spartacus too, huh? I was thinking to myself, how did I see it in a big theater since it came out in 1960 when I was still too young to be living in the town where I saw movies after age 7? I wonder if they showed movies a few years later in those times. I just seem to recall I saw it in a theater!!

Thank You, I really love her, still! Sooo. Spartacus -- I remember in recording class, our teacher remarking on the sound of chainmail jingling as the Roman legions marched -- the sound man did it with a ring of keys! Anyway, one of the all-time best movies. You want to see a big man cry, show him that! Thanks again!

It is so wonderful when men express their love. Pray I get this kind of adoration. Great sonnet.

I pray you will receive such adoration. In my experience, I always found, when I poured out my love on my sweet wife, she poured out her love on me. Thank you very much for your kind and encouraging words!
