Sonnet

Does love hurt only when lovers part, Or are wounds created in the meeting? Should cracks and breaks form in a heart, When love itself is just barely fleeting? All love ends through death and time, Do we love then lose, or remain lonely? Should I risk the break for love’s dull chime, Or stay true to friends and family only? If love does end in pained goodbyes, Is this my fault or destiny’s ending? Our love did end in woeful sighs, Did we meet with broken hearts pending? And when love’s endless night draws near, Let my fear of love and loss, disappear.
