Songs of Yesterday
Rhymes of yesteryear,
Good companions who were here.
A word goes by,
Complimentary and silent.
All a miracle,
Songs sung by choirs.
Stories told,
Sound refined and complex.
Days we tolerated and liked,
Church melody.
Angel choirs,
Command performance.
As perfect and imperfect as God allows,
Days of sadness that you can't reconcile.
God's strength allows you to progress,
Beyond human limits.
Mountains to climb,
Stories to tell.
The quest continues,
To dream the impossible dream.
