Songs of the Ages

The earth has songs
of times before you can imagine,
the reminiscing and longing,
the memories of the ages.

The waters sing
their melancholy moan,
the ocean reverberates
of the things long gone.

The winds sing,
whistling their tune
of joy, fury, and sorrow
being shared in the now.

The skies sing,
the thunder crackles,
beginning the tale
of that which is to come.

The earth has songs
of times before you can imagine.
The reminiscing and longing,
the memories of the ages.

Can you hear it?
Just listen.

In the quiet of the night when silence of humankind diminishes then you hear the words singing all around.

Hi Alison, back when I was traveling a great deal, I got in the habit of pulling far off the road up in the Arizona mountains, tossing a blanket on the hood of my car, stretching out and just looking at the stars and listening to the sounds of the night. Those times were some of the most peaceful and relaxing of my life, far away from man's noise and lights, far enough away from the road that I didn't hear the cars, it was amazing. It is in the quiet that you hear the most amazing sounds!!! Ron
