Songs of My Day
All is quiet here next to the shady oak tree
Just the faint sound of a bumblebee,
Glass in hand filled with cold lemonade
Low and behold, a bird started to serenade.
Out of the blue he flew on that limb
So eloquently he sings, looking just so prim
I tried to sing with him but I didn’t know the tune
I’ll have time to listen, its only high noon.
You have an array of songs my little bird
The melodies I hear I have never heard,
Enchanting to say the least my friend
The ballads are lively which all blend.
I hope you will come back tomorrow
Give me some notes that I can follow
There is something that I must say
You have certainly brightened up my day
