Songs of Life
The she-wolf sits upon the rock
In plain view the creature surveys her land
Empty of human life, yet always moving
With the activity of the animals of the forest
The sun is setting in the west
And it's time to sing
Her muzzle is raised and so it begins
Peacefulness and pain
Life and death
Sunshine and rain
Confusion and understanding
Sadness and Happiness
Love and hate
Are poured into the sky in a constantly changing melodious howl
And drift over the land
Filling all of those who hear it
With awe and wonder at the glorious sound
The meaning of her song is understood
By those who listen
But humans are deaf to the songs of the wolf
They have shut their ears to its meaning
No one cares for the truth that is told
By the honest ones of this earth
We should listen to the music of nature
For every note tells a story
A story meant for all of us
If only we could hear
