Songs For the Heart
Turn up the volume
the radio still plays
an entourage of memories
where some melody played loud
with words that flowed like poetry
dancing in the wind
when time seemed to last forever
and all the songs that played
pulled and tugged at our heart's strings
beating in unison
some orchestrated concerto
a harmony that joined two souls
in the love shared
between you and me
in ambient melancholy of time forgotten.
