Songs and Fireworks

New Years Eve what sight will be
The church bells play song grand prix
As fireworks put on show_ high
Ring out wild bells to wild sky

As the sun drops down on horizon
All set once in a lifetime blazon
All little ones will turn to sky their eye
Ring out wild bells to wild sky

Soon show will be over_ tired, sleepy
Little ones will go home_ some weepy
End old year with great goodby
Ring out wild bells to wild sky

Where have you been hiding? I am inspired! Wow, such beautiful writing from common theme... I am jealous now. I say that alot, but it is true. Glad I came across your name. GREAT!

You did a great job capturing a picture of an old year coming to its close as the people greet the new one. My entry is not on the new year even though Dr. Ram said to do that! Anyway, I really like this. good luck in the contet. LUv ,Andrea

A joyful reflection on New Years' celebrations, Sara. Children usually can't stay awake until midnight, and now that I'm getting older it would take some wild bells to ring out and wake me up as well. Best wishes in Dr. Ram's contest! Love, Carolyn

Beautiful sketch of the coming great event, which always come with a joy and then leaves us in waiting for its next turn, tired and exhausted of course. There is so much reality in your lovely lines. And thanks for your precious comments on my Poem Mysteries of Human Hairs. Love and best wishes always....Ravindra...Sara Kendrick
