Songbird's Answer

Flying through the sky
      Soaring on the wind
A songbird takes delight
   in the joy of the day
As he soars, he passes
  over rivers, seas and 
forest
  This avian navigator
  cries out for a mate
  Using his songs
  to woo her
       Passing by clouds,
he continues to sing
    his notes pierce the 
atmosphere
   Is there another 
songbird litening?
    No answer
    Our friend in the sky
     keeps on singing
       That is the answer to
       the question
       Which has puzzled us
       for so long
