Songbird Rhapsody
When I retired i became a songbird,
I sang with the choir and wore a golden choir gown,
And a blue jay choir gown, with my parents' blessing.
I sang with the local choir guided by our minister,
Friendship guested, I even sang a solo.
Went onto to sing rock n' roll on Sundays,
With friends and companions.
Graduated to folk and song on stage, Sundays,
We sounded very reverent and good.
Sang the Great Elvis Presley's song, "Wise men say",
To the dinning-hall guests, they applauded.
These were all model experiences,
I am truly thankful to our God.
