The Population of Vaquita Porpoises Has Dwindled to Ten, but ...

... by observation like fish in a bowl, others too, share an equal fate that's found in other kinds, be East to the mid-pole California's Gulf shallows curb sound. Vaquitas, small porpoises with large dark rings around their eyes and dark patches on their lips. Shore swimmers have created stark wrath of repeated deaths net tangles done. In 2015, CBS had placed their numbers to be less than a hundred. A new report lists eighteen as its based end count. Extinction less than ten years, zed. Spanish named "Little Cow" will be a ghost. They'd wade at standards to be seen by most.

Aloha once again.. This poem astutely observes the plight of the vaquitas, the "Little Cow" of the sea, in the metaphorical fishbowl of their endangered existence. The comparison to fish in a bowl and the shared fate among various species, stretching from the East to the mid-pole and California's Gulf, is a powerful metaphor for the interconnected vulnerability of marine life. .. You may wear your crown as the king of crown sonnets..

As I stated to you in an earlier reply, I intended to close the Fauna sonnets. Albeit the conclusion befalls on a sad note, I would vilify myself for having known of it and done nothing as a person of indifference would have done. Nonetheless, my earnest thanks for my, understandably dubious award, in light of my recent contributions. Belike my saddest, such optimism a decade be. Aloha Silent One
