Song of the Sea

Sailing oceans on my clipper
She was named the Song of the Sea
I'm her only female skipper
My name it is Rosie Marie

I love to hear the songs of whales
Sailing oceans on my clipper
Folks gather for to hear my tales
of a humpback known as Flipper

I would hand feed him smoked kipper
As he swam alongside my ship
Sailing oceans on my clipper
Singing was his bargaining chip

Charmed and entranced by his whale song
Crisscrossing oceans with Flipper
Loving this humpback for so long
Sailing oceans on my clipper

Yes I have always been drawn to the sea - the Piscean in me no doubt. If I am away too long I feel the sea calling me and cannot wait to return. Thanks for your visit Tom. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

I really enjoyed the ride on Song of the Sea--your poem flows like a song sailing oceans on your clipper. I know these rhymes and syllables are hard to execute and you did it flawlessly, Ann. This should earn you a win at the TOP--and in the meantime I am saving it as my FAVE.
