Poetic Form: Crown of Sonnets: Couplet
Inspired: 2024 January 23
Image: Menelaus Blue Morpho by Picture Insect

The Famous Blue Morpho - Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory

China has two martial arts-styled Mantis, --just a form. A Morphinae enchants us, a mammoth butterfly, a pearlescent spirited blue, bewitching, heaven-sent. Menelaus blue morpho's induced hues are by the wing's backs wee mirrors that cues acquaintances of its presence. Aura is genteel though acts like a Pandora for its natural foe, the Jacamar that shares its habitant courses. All-star of its genres ingrained constitution made weak, threatened by human expansion that misstates the authentic ranking of the whole world down, to our floaters of love.

How descriptive your poem was, William. Through your imagery you captured the beauty of what appears to be a magnificent creature. How sad, though, that it faces extinction. Enchanting is the word I would use to describe your poem. Have a pleasant evening, Sara

William this is such a wonderful poem about the beauty and fragility of the Menelaus blue morpho butterfly and the threat it faces from human expansion. Your use of descriptive and vivid language to bring the butterfly to life, such as "a mammoth butterfly, a pearlescent spirited blue," and "bewitching, heaven-sent." Enhanced even better this poem. It's ideal that I duly take 'time' into consideration of those noted highlights, with great care. I tried to maintain an operable me when I posted the Crown Sonnet early yesterday, and then the Blitz late last night. Mobility remains a challenge and functionality and my abilities remain highly suspect as I frequently blackout. Thank you, Lasaad. Aloha, William
