Song of Rain

Rain in my garden
Shadowed nooks darken

Heavenly scents are rising

Damp promise, divine
Every leaf, a shine

Soul and spirit reviving,

Another excellent poem. I think we write on similar themes, with similar voices. Let's stay in touch.

You're far too kind. I haven't been on the Soup in over a year and I feel bad for leaving everyone in the dark... I've just been busy with jobs and such. Not a great excuse I know... but I hope you may forgive me...

Of course...I do that a lot...life gets in the way and the longer you leave it to check-in the harder it seems to do again.

A tremendous picture for so few words. I especially liked the "every leaf, a shine" bit... it's always so cool when that happens, isn't?

Great poem of renewal and refreshing. Seems like rain loses much significance these days when few rely on it or enjoy it.

Yes Isaiah : nature is so close yet in our busy life we often forget to enjoy the beauty of it. SuZ

Refreshing....Oh so refreshing! :) I have the AC AND fan going at the same time. It's THAT hot! This was a breath of fresh air...it's those scents that beguile. I love rain. Hugs
