Song of Myself

A celebration of myself, I heed the call, I emerge, reborn, I'm not torn, From the ashes, I did crawl, a soul reborn, I sing the song of myself, in praise true. In God's gentle hands, I find my role, With each passing day, I grow and thrive, In my 30's, yet in spirit, I'm alive, I celebrate the strength that lies within my core . For in God's hands, I find delight evermore, I look upon my years with laughter bright, As if I were a youth of sixteen, taking flight, I laugh like a child, carefree and bold. I sing a song of praise to my own soul, I find joy, untold, With every step I take, I'll gladly sing, In the arms of grace, I'll forever cling. Death's shroud may have hovered, seeking to claim, But I emerged, unscathed, from that fiery flame, I dance around with joy, a child's heart I wear, Rejoicing in this life, with a soul laid bare. So here's to myself, a celebration true, In the song of myself, I'll forever pursue, With God's grace, I'll rise above, In the arms of grace, I'll forever love.
