Song of a Little Birdie

In stillness of gazes,
the eyes behold the empty nest
of a beautiful birdie.

stripped of all she is and represents,
the beautiful birdie hovers
fragile and broken to blight.

cloaked in the depth of despair,
tears stream down her face
in this drought of dolefulness.

still,she hovers round its nest,
awaiting the whispers of hope
in the wind.
