Song For You

My words seem to flow without rhyme or reason

Betrayal of love is like committing treason

Simplicity of love, simplicity of song

You knew you were leaving all along

My eyes pour with lyrical tired expressions

What you did to me, I'm better off forgetting

Knowing yet disbelieving this must be wrong

As I pour out my heart in a tired love song

Still I know what I must do

Let go of the anger in this song for you

For when I reach the end of my life

Once darkness covers where once shone my light

The music will play on as my exit appears

End of an era, end of the tears.
