Sonata Amoroso
Violins play sympathy spicatto
Upon my tender mercies
As strings in conspiracy
Are rising up, against the bow
Hearts pierced and bleeding out
Unforgiven memories, from a distance off
And the haunting melodies wash
In lost emotions of an ebb and flow
Further waves of symphony traverse upon this fragile human soul
Thus, to purify a conscience never quite clear
As healing harps pleading, remembrance
For dreams that echo now, out of long ago
And arrows of adaigetto fling off
"En masse" of chills that touch
I can't help surrender, but
Give in, to the depths of my very soul!
And I weep…
Stains upon my cheeks
Of passions, acceso
And its deepest throes
As fermatta trembles...
Out of my own fainted breath
And an espirando carries...
with it, a renaissance
That edifies the whole
The tears now vapors, gone and aloft
Unto ovations of grandiso
And my heart skips
Beating out its own applause
So moving was the masterpiece
Of sonata amoroso
