Son of Smiles

A small child too young to understand Is not acknowledged of the past he once lived The boy very timid, stuck in the sand Could not release the joy inside his soul; finally scuttled out of his cave. He perceives the light, no more sorrow. Living his life to the fullest, not wasting one second of tomorrow. The cheerful adolescent growing taller every day, not at all close to throwing his life away. This youngster is full of personality and quite extraordinary. A little hyper but he elicits a giggle in his peers My brother, when you spread your wings I will be in tears not sad, but rather content because my love for you is unbreakable. He is my brother and I will protect him as well as fight his fears. Little boy bursting his contagious smile to all around Joshua James Powell is the name to which I crown a magnificent, spontaneous, and inquisitive child.
